In this 2026 STA Series webinar, ITDP will highlight our honorable mention Santiago, Chile, and its progress in implementing the largest electric bus fleet in the region, with 4,200+ e-buses currently in operation. The transition to this high-capacity, zero-emission fleet continues to help Santiago reduce air and noise pollution, mitigate harmful emissions, enhance ridership, and save substantially on fuel and energy costs.
This session will provide an overview of Santiago’s policies and investments as it aims to achieve a 100% electric bus fleet, complemented by crucial efforts to expand charging infrastructure and reshape mobility planning.
