Kate McCarthy is a public outreach and engagement manager at the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency. She leads the Transit Outreach team who facilitates communications for Muni service changes and capital projects. Her team develops culturally relevant, multichannel programs aimed at informing and engaging community members in the city transportation projects that serve them including the design, construction and launch of service for San Franciso’s Van Ness Bus Rapid Transit (BRT). Propelled by a commitment to social equity and a passion for transportation, Kate has been engaging the public to improve walking, bicycling and Muni service in San Francisco since 2006.
Viridiana is a transportation engineer, who has earned her experience working in public and private sectors on logistics, freight transportation, and urban mobility. She has previously held various roles in the public sector as a technical support lead for sustainable urban mobility projects at the Planning Directorate of the Ministry of Mobility of Puebla; and also at the Ministry of Mobility of Mexico City, coordinating the implementation of the Integrated Mobility Card in public transportation organizations. Since 2023, she took on the role of the Executive Director of Operations and Infrastructure of Metrobús, Mexico City.
