Walkability is essential for reducing carbon emissions and providing urban access for all. Investing in pedestrian infrastructure, and anchoring it around other sustainable modes, economic activities and services can help shift travel away from cars. What is more, improvements in walkability can be measured, giving practitioners, decision makers and financing institutions leverage to do even more around walkability in cities.

Join our roundtable session as we explore the measurable co-benefits of improved walkability, and insights on initiatives, scale up efforts, policies and impacts from several ITDP regions. We will also look into tools and assessment methodologies that can be replicated in other regions.
