Our Team

ITDP is a nonprofit organization headquartered in New York City with offices in Brazil, China, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Mexico, and the United States. ITDP’s programs focus on public transport, non-motorized transport, travel demand management, parking, transport policy, and urban development.

João Miranda

Communications Intern

João Miranda is an undergraduate student in Advertising at the School of Communication of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and has also studied Media Studies at the Fluminense Federal University (UFF). He holds a technical degree in Multimedia from the Advanced Education Center, with an emphasis on web design and gamification. He works at ITDP Brazil as Communications Intern.

At the university, he works as a music curator and journalist at Rádio UFRJ. As a scholarship holder, he has contributed to the development of several outreach projects focused on science communication, such as the Geopark Costões and Lagunas (Profaex) and the misinformation prevention initiative Agentes da Ciência – Pense Bioquimicamente (IEX).
