Thursday, 21 May 2026 || 9AM EST (10AM Brazil)

In this 2026 STA Series webinar, ITDP will highlight the winner Salvador, Brazil, and discuss the city’s progress in advancing inclusive, sustainable mobility. The session will focus on Salvador’s recent policies and investments into more integrated public transport, including expanded BRT corridors and street networks, aimed at improving access and connectivity across multiple neighborhoods. We will also be joined by a representative from the World Bank who will share lessons on planning, financing, and implementation from a bank partner’s perspective.

This session will emphasize the ways in which coordinated investment, partnerships, and political will can help cities like Salvador advance well-funded, well-managed, and sustainable transport to become a role model for their region. Live interpretations will be available in Portuguese.
