Associate - Urban Planning
Sangami is an Architect – Urban Planner with more than 2.5 years of professional experience. She majored in architecture at Thiagarajar College of Engineering, Madurai. Due to her interest in Urban Studies, She opted to pursue her Master’s in Urban Planning from CEPT University, Ahmedabad, which piqued her interest in land use planning, policy-making, TOD, neighborhood cohesive planning, and research projects. She started her career as a Freelancer-Architect and worked on retrofitting identified college buildings into skill development centres as part of the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana and product designing for Vibrant Tamil Nadu, 2018 display stalls. Post Master’s program, She has worked, as Urban Planner at HCPDPM, Ahmedabad, on large-scale urban projects such as Development Plans, Riverfront Development Plans, etc., for a period of 1.5 years. At ITDP India, she is engaged with the Urban and transport development departments in Chennai. She is exploring her interest in Data-driven analysis, Road safety initiatives, Multi-Modal integration, sustainable mobility, compact city development, etc.
She would like to contribute towards making the cities a better place for people to live in, by working towards safe, vibrant, sustainable and inclusive solutions. Apart from academics and profession, she loves music and can play Keyboard, Veena and Flute. She also loves to doodle and travel.
