Senior Manager—Communications, Partnerships, and Development
Kashmira leads the Communications and Development team at ITDP India that is responsible for developing strategies that help advance the ITDP’s outreach to garner support for sustainable mobility. These strategies include targeted interventions for key decision makers, governments, development banks, foundations, and stakeholders through various channels including media outreach, partnerships, visual communications and webinars.
Since working for ITDP India for over 8 years, Kashmira has also worked closely with cities of Tamil Nadu to improve walking and cycling conditions through policy reform, tactical urbanism, and design interventions. She facilitated various courses and workshops on sustainable mobility that focused on non-motorised transport. After having worked with ITDP for nearly 8 years she is truly passionate about her work and the need for reform to make Indian cities healthy and vibrant.
Prior to working with ITDP, Kashmira was a Resource Consent officer at Auckland Transport. Her role entailed working with the Principle Consent Specialist to avoid, remedy, and mitigate adverse effects of new development on the wider Auckland road network.
