ITDP is a nonprofit organization headquartered in New York City with offices in Brazil, China, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Mexico, and the United States. ITDP’s programs focus on public transport, non-motorized transport, travel demand management, parking, transport policy, and urban development.

Alphonse Tam

Global Communications Manager

Alphonse (he/him/his) is a Global Communications Manager with ITDP’s headquarters in New York City. He is responsible for communications strategy, content creation, project management, and media relations, working alongside ITDP’s international program teams to promote the organization’s work to a wide array of audiences. Prior to joining ITDP in 2022, Alphonse worked with cross-sector nonprofits and NGOs in marketing, PR, fundraising, and partnership development capacities. He holds an MSc in Urbanisation and Development from the London School of Economics and a BA in Urban Studies from the University of Pennsylvania. Alphonse is a native of Philadelphia and enjoys running, cycling, reading, and exploring new neighborhoods in his free time.
