ITDP is a nonprofit organization headquartered in New York City with offices in Brazil, China, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Mexico, and the United States. ITDP’s programs focus on public transport, non-motorized transport, travel demand management, parking, transport policy, and urban development.

Liu Shaokun

Vice Country Director

Liu Shaokun is currently the Vice Country Director of ITDP China. Previously, he was the NMT, Greenway, Parking and TDM project team leader. He has been working on urban and sustainable transportation projects in several China cities since 2009. Before joining ITDP, Shaokun was a consultant to the Asian Development Bank and World Bank on many sustainable transportation projects in China, Malaysia, Philippines, Laos, Indonesia, Mongolia, etc., and has worked on greenway planning & design in several cities worldwide. He knows the challenges and opportunities for Greenway development in China and South East Asia cities very well, and wrote a book on the subject called “Urban Greenway System Optimum Design”.
