Alyssa Alvarez
Global Program Coordinator
Alyssa Alvarez (she/her/hers) started with ITDP in October 2022. As the Global Program Coordinator, Alyssa supports the efforts of leading advocates and experts worldwide by coordinating with external stakeholders, managing program administration, and working closely on signature ITDP initiatives.
Alyssa earned her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a minor in Urban Studies from Pace University in New York. Before ITDP, she interned for local and international non-profits and city governments in community advocacy and program management teams, always looking to uplift the community in her work. Alyssa actively worked on policy and advocacy in her past internships with the Asian American Federation and TransitCenter, both based in New York City. As a past President of her university’s Filipino cultural club, Filipino Youth International, she deepened her passion for community-led service by developing and providing resources, programs, and events in collaboration with marginalized groups.
In her downtime, you can find Alyssa trying out new hobbies, most recently having been making oat milk and baking. She also enjoys nurturing her dog and cat, Akira and Nami, and plant babies.
