This webinar builds on ITDP’s new report, “Financing the E-bus Transition,” which offers a roadmap and aims to give governments (especially those with limited capacity) options to scale up investment in public transport electrification projects by leveraging private capital. Speakers from the World Bank and ITDP India will present cases and tangible examples of innovative e-bus financing models at national and regional scales that can inspire other decisionmakers, planners, and practitioners working on the electric transition. Interpretations in Spanish and Portuguese will be available.

Yang Chen
Senior Transport Specialis, World Bank
Yang Chen is senior transport specialist working in Latin America and Caribbean Region of the World Bank. She has managed various transport investment lending projects and analytical works, most extensively in China, Mongolia, and Peru. Yang’s interests include e-mobility, urban transport policies and planning, green transport, and smart cities. She holds a B.S. in Urban Planning from Peking University, Master in City Planning from University of Pennsylvania, and Ph.D. in Transportation Planning from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Aditya Rane
Senior Associate, ITDP India
Aditya Rane is an Architect and Transport Planner with over eight years of experience in Public Transport Planning, Electric Mobility, and Transport Infrastructure. His expertise spans public transit improvement, station design, metro and BRT planning, fleet electrification strategies, and comprehensive mobility plans, helping cities transition toward sustainable and efficient transport solutions.
As a Senior Associate at ITDP India, he plays a crucial role in supporting public transit agencies and private bus operators at local, state, and national levels in their electrification efforts. His work includes route planning, cost-benefit analysis, financial assessment, and business model development, guiding agencies toward scalable and economically viable e-bus adoption.
Aditya provides strategic knowledge support to key stakeholders, including public transit agencies and their apex body, the Association of State Road Transport Undertakings (ASRTU), as well as the Bus & Car Operators Confederation of India (BOCI). Together, these entities represent over 2 million buses, collectively transporting 32 million passengers daily. His contributions drive policy development and implementation, shaping India’s evolving e-mobility landscape.

Beatriz Rodrigues
Global Program Manager, ITDP Global
Beatriz Rodrigues (she/her/hers pronouns) leads ITDP’s global initiatives in public transport and electrification, spearheading the development of strategies and policies. She coordinates knowledge sharing among regional offices, focusing on rapid transit, buses, electrification, paratransit, and BRT. A Brazilian native, she began her work in ITDP at our Brazil regional office in 2016 and joined the Global team in 2024. Throughout her career, Beatriz has collaborated closely with public transport stakeholders, including managers, operators, civil society organizations, the private sector, and academia. Beatriz also has experience in planning and coordinating capacity-building initiatives and knowledge exchanges through meetings, courses, and webinars. She holds a degree in civil engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and a Master’s in Transport Engineering from COPPE/UFRJ.
Dana Yanocha
Senior Global Program Manager, ITDP Global
Dana’s (she/her/hers pronouns) work at ITDP includes research and analysis of trends in sustainable transportation focused primarily on cycling, bikeshare, and other forms of shared mobility. She has led the development of key ITDP publications, including the 2018 Bikeshare Planning Guide, and several policy briefs. Dana is passionate about identifying connections between sustainable development’s social, economic, and environmental spheres, with a particular interest in guiding cities to strengthen transportation networks, leverage emerging technology and innovations, and improve overall accessibility.
Prior to joining ITDP in 2017, Dana worked for the Chaddick Institute for Metropolitan Development in Chicago and for Resources for the Future, an environmental economics think tank in Washington, DC. She holds an MA in Sustainable Urban Development from DePaul University.
