Nicolás currently serves as the Director of the Directorate of Sectoral Analysis at CAF. Throughout his career, Nicolás has worked on enhancing the urban agenda, fostering sustainable mobility, reducing poverty, and fighting climate change. He has served in Colombia’s National Planning Department, as transport vice minister 2012–2014, and after as a Secretary of Mobility of Bogotá. He has also worked for the World Bank as a Junior Professional and previously for CAF as head of the Urban Transport Unit and Director of Sector Knowledge. 

He has published several papers on urban transport affordability and the effects of urban form on travel patterns. He serves on two committees at the Transport Research Board, and is a member of the Michelin Stakeholder Committee. 

Nicolás holds a BS in civil engineering (Universidad de los Andes) and a Master’s in urban planning (University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill).

Fetiya has been serving as the Deputy CEO, Road Safety & Insurance Fund Service at Federal Democratic Republic Ethiopia. She focuses on road safety to reduce road transport traffic deaths and serious injuries by 50% for the coming 7 years. She has been executing a leadership position in different areas of Addis Ababa city administration and federal government. Moreover, she has been working as an International Relations Expert in Addis Ababa Mayor’s Office. Fetiya holds a master’s degree in Leadership and bachelor’s degree in Foreign Language and Literature.

Since 2007, Eugenia has been working in the public sector as an executive, leading projects with high social and economic impact on communities. Between 2009 and 2015, she coordinated planning activities within the Transportation Secretariat of the Government of the City of Buenos Aires. Between 2015 and 2019, she served as General Director of Institutional Relations at the National Ministry of Transportation. 

Recently, she has been focusing on public policy and community engagement. Since 2022, she has been serving as Chief of Staff at the Ministry of Transportation and Public Works within the City Government of Buenos Aires. Some of the activities under her leadership included: implementation of BRT corridors, road works, port and airport works especially related to bolstering economic development and tourism, and public policy among others.

Eugenia holds a master’s degree in Political Science specialized in Administration and Public Policies, as well as postgraduate degree in Socio-Urban Management and Citizen Participation in Public Policies; Government and Tourism; Marketing and Strategic Planning.

With over 25 years of experience as an urban and regional planning professional, Bapusaheb is currently working as an Executive Engineer in Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation’s Traffic & Transportation Department. As a part of PCMC’s Traffic & Transportation Department, Bapusaheb is actively involved in the development of several sustainable transportation initiatives, like the BRT network, Metro corridor, and walking and cycling infrastructure through projects like the Urban Streetscapes Programme and Harit Setu Master Plan, among others. The infrastructure developed by PCMC has been creating waves at several National and International competitions. Recently, PCMC won the National Urban Mobility India Competition for the ‘Best NMT Infrastructure in India’ and also the International Bloomberg Initiative for Cycling Cities Award. 

As an avid cyclist himself, Bapusaheb has also won individual awards in the ‘Freedom to Walk, Cycle and Run’ Competition organised at the National level to sensitise officials and decision-makers to the problems faced by NMT users in their respective cities.

Bapusaheb has completed his bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Government Engineering College Aurangabad and master’s degree in Transportation Engineering from the renowned Indian Institute of Technology- Delhi.
