ITDP Brazil, in partnership with Studio-X (part of Columbia University) recently created 12 short videos as a part of the Mobilidade + project. The videos show how urban mobility impacts people as a part of everyday life.

The Mobilidade + project first appeared during Rio+ 20, the United Nations Conference for Sustainable Development in Rio de Janeiro, in June of 2012. The first phase of the project consisted of 12 lectures, open to the public, associating the concept of mobility with everyday life themes, at Studio-X. The lectures focused on themes such as public space, mobility, lifestyle, delivery, kindness, waste, media, culture, citizenship, informality, water and youth. With the release of the videos, ITDP Brazil and Studio-X intend to make this rich material available to everyone, with the potential to stimulate and inspire further discussion on mobility and cities. The videos were also part of an exhibition, open to the public, in December 2012 at Studio-X in the downtown area of Rio de Janeiro.

Mobilidade + was funded by the Commission Andina de Fomento (CAF) and created in partnership with C40 Rio de Janeiro, the Network for Sustainable Low Carbon Transport (SLoCaT), Transporte Ativo and UN Habitat, resulting in a consortium composed of some of the main global actors in sustainable transport and urban development.
