Anta Dieng
Investment Director and TURF Coordinator Africa, Meridiam
Anta Dieng is an Investment Director at Meridiam, based in Dakar. She leads the development and structuring of high-impact sustainable infrastructure projects across Africa, with a particular focus on energy, green mobility, and climate resilience. In this capacity, she oversees the deployment of Meridiam’s Urban Resilience Fund (TURF) on the African continent, a dedicated vehicle for investing in low-carbon, inclusive, and climate-resilient urban projects.
Anta has over twelve years of experience in structuring and financing public and private infrastructure projects in Africa, covering sectors such as urban mobility, essential services, and energy transition. She has played a key role in implementing innovative projects, including Dakar’s fully electric BBRT system, as well as several renewable energy and public transport initiatives across Europe and Africa. An engineer by training, Anta later specialized in project finance and has deep expertise in public-private partnerships. Before joining Meridiam, she worked with major industrial players in the transport and energy sectors, contributing to the development and execution of complex infrastructure projects.
