The Infravision Foundation

Jagan Shah is CEO of The Infravision Foundation, an advocacy thinktank promoting reforms, planning and innovative finance in infrastructure for cities, public transport, agriculture, healthcare and energy. From 2013 to 2019, he was Director of the National Institute of Urban Affairs, India’s premier urban thinktank, where he co-created the Smart Cities Mission, prepared the Draft Master Plan for Delhi 2041, designed the EU-and-AfD-supported ‘City Investments to Innovate Integrate and Sustain’ (CITIIS) program and incubated centres for digital governance, sanitation and climate adaptation.

His recent roles include Senior Infrastructure Adviser in UK’s Department for International Development, where he designed CDRI’s Infrastructure for Resilient Island States (IRIS) facility launched at COP26, and Senior Adviser (Capacity Building) at The World Bank. Since 2016, he has served as Trustee of Clean Air Asia, an INGO based in Manila. Shah studied architectural design and history, theory & criticism in New Delhi, Cincinnati and New York.
