Ahmad Fikri Assegaf is a co-founder of Assegaf Hamzah & Partners (AHP), one of Indonesia’s leading full-service law firms, and is widely recognised as a senior figure in the country’s legal and governance landscape. With more than 25 years of experience, he has advised on complex matters across capital markets, banking and finance, mergers and acquisitions, project finance, and Sharia-compliant transactions, working closely with boards, management teams, and investors on both strategic and regulatory issues.
Beyond private practice, Fikri has played an active role in advancing legal institutions and public-interest initiatives in Indonesia. He is one of the founders of Hukumonline.com, Indonesia’s first integrated legal information portal, which has significantly expanded public access to laws, regulations, and legal news.
Fikri is also engaged in governance and policy reform through professional and advisory roles, including service within legal and regulatory working groups and board-level positions in organisations focused on sustainability, legal reform, and institutional development.
