Marta Lucía Suárez Gómez

Program Leader of the Planning and Foresight Unit, Mobility Secretariat, City of Medellín

Marta has vast professional experience working in the public sector specializing in traffic demand management and public transport planning. Currently, acts as Program Leader of the Planning and Foresight Unit at the Mobility Secretariat of the City of Medellín. She has been the manager and leader of programs and projects such as: the reorganization of the public transport of Medellín, the implementation of Metroplús, the feasibility assessment of the smart mobility systems, fleet management for public transport, to name a few. Previously, she was the Deputy Director of Mobility of the Valle de Aburrá Metropolitan Area and oversaw the creation and implementation of the Medellín Public Bicycle System. She holds a Civil Engineering Degree from the University of Medellin.
